How To: Make Twitter Update Your Facebook Status

My friend and colleague @Bastlynn (Mgr. and code monkey of Planewalker.com) has just taken the Twitter plunge and was asking me for some tips on making Twitter play nice with Facebook. Her primary question was how to tie the two services together so that her tweets would update her Facebook status.
Like so many things in this life it is terribly simple once you know how.
First install the Twitter application installed in your Facebook profile. [ Twitter App For Facebook ]
Once it is installed you will see a link at the top left that says Want Twitter to update your Facebook status? Click here!
Click it. Now you’re done!
One thing that I have noticed is that sometimes tweets won’t update to Facebook. I think it may have something to do with the limited number of call-outs Twitter allows to its API, but I’m not completely sure.

It won’t even let me log into Twitter through the app. Keeps giving me a wrong username/password error. Any insight on that? Because they don’t exactly make it easy to get ahold of the app developer.. or Twitter, for that matter.
Hey Will, neither Twitter nor Facebook are easy to get ahold of and many of their developers continue that unfortunate stance.
Actually I’ve since ditched that app and replaced it with HootSuite.com which allows me to manage any number of Twitter and Facebook accounts, as well as a number of other platforms.
I’d say check out HootSuite, it’s fee and it eliminates a number of headaches.
