The Addicting Nature of Discovery
Posted by Loki on Jan 11, 2009 in Online PR, Social Media | 1 commentThis one is well worth passing on. Ming Yeow of Discoverio has a nice little presentation onlinethat speaks to somthing I have often considered. Namely the joy of discovery.
As you may note from the title of the slideshow below she shares my perspective on the almost addictive nature of discovery, substantiated by the knowledge that the act of discovery triggers and endorphin like response in our brains creating a pleasurable feeling. If you have ever done any data mining (or if you are chronically flipping through StmbleUpon) this good feeling is one you know, although you may not have consciously noticed it.
Since all of us that work on the web have discovery of our work as a driving force it is my hope that this will be of assistance to my readers. Go ahead, flip through the slideshow.
Mr. Yeow’s blog post that goes along with the slideshow can be found here. If you got something good out of it go leave him some feedback!
