Twist: Trend Visualization on Twitter

The above chart is embedded using the code automatically generated by Twist. This is a wonderful little tool for creating charts about Twitter trends in practically no time. All you do is key in a series of terms and a graph, static or dynamic, is created along with the code needed to embed it in any blog that allows use of scripts.
As you can see from the chart above, all it takes is a little thought and ideas for using Twist readily present themselves. In this case a comparison of the three browsers I use the most, other fun things to graph include good / evil, and other opposing terms. Of course if one were being practical one could use it to compare mentions of one’s own efforts against those of a competitor….
I’ll be reviewing a number of Twitter tools over the next several weeks as I share my arsenal. I’d also love to hear about your favorite tools and tricks, leave me a comment here with your best online toys.
